“The essence of mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple.” - S Gudder

Have you ever wondered why it is important to develop critical thinking skills and problem solving in young children?

What is the ultimate goal of learning mathematics at an early age?

Students need to be able to navigate their lives in this ever-so-complex modern world. This involves dealing with many issues when they get older such as banking, credit cards, payments, etc. All this requires a good understanding of parts, proportions, and percents.

Another very important goal of mathematics education as a whole is to enable the students to understand information around us. In today's world, this includes quite a bit of scientific information. Being able to read through it and make sense of it requires knowing big and small numbers, statistics, probability, percents.

Our Math Munchies Recipes do not focus on drill or memorization but on stimulating and engaging the minds to understand, solve and think for themselves. Young children love to learn and exercise their minds, and this must be done in sequenced small steps, n short periods encouraging discussions and thinking.

Our math recipes are filled with critical thinking brain teasers and riddles, hands on interactive exercises and quizzes that make the learning process more absorbing and reflecting on all facets of the material in a natural and curious state. Our trained instructors ask intriguing questions such as why did this happen and what you think should have happened, stimulating verbal development as children begin to reason why. This provides them with the opportunity to reason during the course of a discussion, an essential early cognitive development skill and speak on the microphone overcoming shyness.

By designing critical thinking into learning activities, we build self-esteem, lay a foundation for formal education, and develop a life-long love of learning.

Our Math Munchies Recipes cater to all ages from 24 months to grade 3.
